The Renewal Review capability is able to create a new activity with an activity code of your choice for higher priority follow-up by your team. If you are aiming to accomplish any of the following goals, this workflow could be a good fit for you:
- Ensure all policies are meeting your brokerage's minimum coverage standards and specifically flag the ones that don't
- Prioritizing policies with a large premium increase, such as >15%
- Running time-based campaigns on coverage upsells or cross-sells
- Focusing on key policies when renewal volume is high and bandwidth is low
The best part is, configuring your bot to generate an additional activity can be triggered on and off at any time to suit your brokerage's needs.
How do I configure an additional activity?
- Ensure that the additional activity code is configured as a valid activity code within Epic.
- Navigate to Activities & Workflow → Additional Activity
- Configure the following:
- If you would like the Renewal Review capability to close the renewal eDoc activity if an additional activity is triggered, which can streamline your workflow by avoiding duplication
- Activity code to be created by the Renewal Review capability.
- Assignee of the new activity created by the Renewal Review capability
- Navigate to Configuration → Additional Activity
- Select the attributes you would like to set as additional activity triggers. Some triggers, such as Form 20, have an option to enter a $ threshold so that you can flag if coverage amounts are above or below where they should be.
What does an additional activity look like in Epic?
The additional activity will be created with your configured activity code and assigned to whoever is specified. Only one net new activity is created when at least 1 trigger condition is met so that the Renewal Review capability does not inundate your brokers with activities.
Note: The activity description is set by default to [Effective Date] Renewal Review Additional Activity [Policy Number]
The additional activity renewal summary is slightly different to the standard renewal summary that is inserted into your renewal eDoc activity.
In the additional activity, there are 4 sections instead of 3:
Summary Section |
Description |
Triggers Met |
New section that highlights which trigger conditions were met |
Review |
A high level summary of the renewal. Includes coverages and endorsements that are present on the policy as well, added/removed coverages, increases/decreases in limits and deductibles |
Missing |
Flags coverages, endorsements and discounts that should be present but are not present |
Talking Points |
Identifies discussion points with customer, such as important changes, potential opportunities to add value to the customer or information the broker needs to collect. |
