What does the Daily Download capability do?

Quandri’s Daily Download capability runs the EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) process in the exact same way a person does.

  • Manually match policies and eDocs
  • Verify and update commission amounts in the ADI process

Is Daily Download capability available for personal and commercial lines?

Yes, the capability is available for both personal and commercial lines.

Can the Daily Download capability match items if the policy numbers are incorrect or blank?

The robot can match items if the policy numbers are different. It will first use the policy number to try to find the associated policy, if that doesn’t work, it will look at the other relevant criteria (Account Name, Eff/Exp Dates, Line and ICO). As long as an acceptable confidence interval is hit on the other variables then it can match without the policy number.

Can the Daily Download capability match incorrect or reversed account names?

Yes, it will try all different variations of the name when searching: first names, last names, backwards, forwards. It will try to find an account that is an 80% match to what is in suspense, and then cross-reference other variables such as line of business, ICO, effective date, and issuing company.

What items in suspense can’t the Daily Download capability match?

Examples of items that can’t be matched are when the robot can’t find the account name, or if there is no policy in the account with matching criteria (eff/exp dates, line, ICO). These are left in suspense to be processed manually by a person.

When verifying commission amounts in ADI, is the Daily Download capability doing this for agency or producer commissions?

Both! The robot will verify both the agency and producer commission amounts. If anything is found to be incorrect, it will be updated at both the policy and invoice level.

How will I know if my robot isn’t able to process an item?

If the robot can’t find a policy or account to assign to, this is considered an exception. When this happens, the bot will leave a comment in Epic under that item and will include the reason why in the spreadsheet that gets sent to your team daily. These items won’t get pushed into Epic upon delivery, so they will sit in suspense for someone on your team to process, or for the bot to try to process 7 days later.

In this spreadsheet, the bot will also include all of the items that were successfully assigned.

If the Daily Download capability bot fails on an item, will it try again the next day?

The robot will only process items that come in on the same day and 7 days ago. For example: If it’s May 14th, the bot will process only items that have a Received date of May 14th and May 7th. The main reason for this is that if on Monday, the bot tries to assign a policy and it is unable to, we don’t want the robot to try to go over that policy again every single day while it’s still sitting in suspense - this would increase the run time of the bot significantly. With that being said, the robot might not be able to assign to a policy because it hasn’t been renewed in Epic by the Producer. In this case, we want to wait a few days to allow the Producer to update the policy, and then try again (which is why it processes again 7 days later).

Why does the Daily Download capability sometimes attach eDocs to the account instead of the policy?

Depending on your robot’s configuration, an eDoc may be attached to the account if the robot is unable to locate the current term policy. If you do not wish for the robot to attach eDocs to the account, you may update your configuration so that the eDoc is either assigned to the previous term’s policy or is left in suspense for your team to review and later assign.

Can the Daily Download capability assign to a policy with different effective and expiry dates?

Depending on your robot’s configuration, the robot may match and assign items in suspense to new business policies in Epic within a 30-day range.

If your team has opted to enable the bot to flexibly match on effective and expiry dates for NBS policies, the bot will select the “Change Eff/Exp” button, which will update the dates on the policy in Epic to align with the dates that are incoming in suspense.
