            Run a Company List Report

            Copied!

            Goal

Generate a Company List from Applied Epic that includes the NAIC code, in a CSV format for upload to Quandri.

Step A – Choose the Right Report

            1. In Epic Reports/Marketing, go to Account.
            2. Select the report type Company List (use the default version as your starting point).

Follow your company best practices for updating master reporting templates. When in doubt copy the report to “My Reports” through the Actions option at the top of the page.

Step B – Set the Criteria

In the report setup, go to Criteria.

            1. Change the Department to: ensure the “included selections” radio button at the top is selected and only Personal Lines shows in the selected box at the bottom.
            2. Navigate to “Active Inactive Status” → Select “Active” radio button
            3. Navigate to “Issuing Company” → Select “Yes” radio button
            4. We will now add NAIC to the Criteria
              1. Click Add button to the top right of the Criteria area
              2. Drill down in the folders, Company List → Company → Identification Numbers → NAIC
                1. Double Click on NAIC to add it to the Criteria box and click Finish

Step C – Adjust the Layout

You’ll customize the layout so the output includes the NAIC criteria you just added.

            1. Open the Layouts in the Navigation Pane & launch the layout builder by double clicking on the Company List -Complete Detail.
            2. A separate screen will open;
              1. Here we will add the NAIC variable
              2. In the Navigation Pane, follow the same folder path as we did to add the criteria
                1. Drill down in the folders, Company List →Company → Identification Numbers → NAIC
                2. Single click and hold the NAIC variable and drag it to the “Details” section and drop it.
                3. The variable will show in the details section and will also populate in the Page Header section
            3. Save the change with CRTL “S” or File in the top menu and click Save
            4. Click “File” at the top left corner and select “Exit”.

Step D – Run the Report to CSV

            1. Select “Delivery Options” in the Navigation pane
            2. Double click on the <Current User> to open the Edit Recipient window
            3. Remove the Check from “Print”
            4. Check the “Save to disk”
              1. Save as a CSV or Excel format
              2. Enter a File Name
              3. Click Finish
            5. Generate the report under “ACTIONS” in the Options Bar
            6. Save the generated .csv file—this is the file you’ll provide to Quandri.
