Accuracy improvements
This past month, our team has focused on creating a number of improvements to increase the accuracy of our product. These updates include the following;
- Better discount validation: Age-Related Discount checks are now skipped on Aviva motorcycle policies, since this discount is only offered for private passenger cars.
- Refined coverage logic: Form 44 (Family Protection) validation is now skipped for utility trailers on auto policies, since trailers do not qualify for this coverage.
- Improved carrier reporting: Claims-Free discounts are no longer reported as missing on Gore Mutual or Economic auto policies, since these carriers do not offer this coverage.
- More precise coverage checks: Form 3 (Disappearing Deductible) is no longer flagged as missing on SGI policies, as the carrier does not offer this option.
- Clearer deductible updates: The platform now correctly distinguishes between blank and $0 wind or hail deductibles. Changes from blank to a dollar amount are displayed as “added,” and changes from $0 to a higher amount are shown as “increased.
- Expanded Strata policy support: Strata policies (Form 75) are now properly reported for Family Insurance Canada, so policies with GRC are no longer flagged as missing.
- Enhanced deductible visibility: Both policy and water deductibles now displayed, making it easier to review water deductible amounts for renewals with multiple deductible types.
- Corrected coverage reporting: Minor Conviction Protection is no longer flagged as missing for Intact recreational vehicle policies, since this coverage is not available for those vehicle types.
- Improved policy accuracy: Claims-Free discounts are no longer incorrectly flagged as missing on Intact Homeowners policies.
