Editing or Adding Coverages
Coverage additions and edits allows admins to configure how coverage codes in Epic map to Quandri – essentially allow you to define which coverages we support are mapped to in Epic. Additionally you can adjust which coverages are within packages or imply other coverages. Admins have the ability to control coverage configurations and make instant changes, reducing coverage reporting errors.
Each coverage configuration has three key components:
- Code: The coverage code as it appears in Epic
- Name (Package/Endorsement/Coverage): What the name of the coverage represents from Quandri (this will differ from the description within Epic)
- Included Coverages: Other coverages that are automatically included within the package or bundle.
Editing an existing coverage
To edit your coverage mapping, follow these steps;
- In the left-hand navigation, select ‘Coverages’
- Use the search bar to find the Code you want to edit
- Select the pencil icon to edit
- Update the coverage ‘Name’ to the desired one that matches that code
- Select `Save` for it to be updated.
Below is an example of a code incorrectly set as Accident benefits and updated to Accident waiver.

Changes will apply automatically on the next run.
Note that the Status will get updated to "Custom" which means this has been edited and is custom to your Quandri setup. Default means these are supplied by Quandri.

Adding coverage mapping
To create new coverage mappings for codes not yet in the system or added additionally you can follow these steps;
- Navigate to the Coverages page and select “+New”
- Define the Carrier, Code, and coverage Name
- Select “Save” and you will see it be added to the list below.
Below is an example of adding a secondary code for Aviva Accident benefits coverage that is noted as the code ACB1 within Epic. (Note this is just an example

Only fields required are Carrier, Code and Name
Code Type, Included Coverages and LOB are not required but can be added to be more descriptive or to configure a package or bundle. These are indicated by a red *
