            Editing or Adding Coverages

            Copied!

Coverage additions and edits allows admins to configure how coverage codes in Epic map to Quandri – essentially allow you to define which coverages we support are mapped to in Epic. Additionally you can adjust which coverages are within packages or imply other coverages. Admins have the ability to control coverage configurations and make instant changes, reducing coverage reporting errors.

Each coverage configuration has three key components:

            1. Code: The coverage code as it appears in Epic
            2. Name (Package/Endorsement/Coverage): What the name of the coverage represents from Quandri (this will differ from the description within Epic)
            3. Included Coverages: Other coverages that are automatically included within the package or bundle.

            Common Use Case Example

Problem: Quandri reports "Sewer Backup Missing" on a report even though the policy has Water Protection coverage that includes sewer backup.

Solution: Configure the Water Protection to specify it includes:

            • Overland water
            • Sewer backup
            • Service line coverage

Now going forward Quandri will correctly recognize all included coverages on the next run.

            Available Actions

            View, Search & Filtering

            1. In the left-hand navigation, select ‘Coverages’
            2. Browse all coverage mappings
            3. Filter by carrier to see carrier-specific configurations
            4. Search for specific coverage codes or descriptions

            Editing an existing coverage

            To edit your coverage mapping, follow these steps;

            1. In the left-hand navigation, select ‘Coverages’
            2. Use the search bar to find the Coverage or Coverage Code you want to edit
            3. Select the pencil icon to edit
            4. Update the coverage ‘Name’ to the desired one that matches that code
            5. Select `Save` for it to be updated.

Below is an example of a code incorrectly set as Accident benefits and updated to Accident waiver.

Changes will apply automatically on the next run.

            Note

The Status will get updated to "Custom" which means this has been edited and is custom to your Quandri setup. Default means these are supplied by Quandri.

            Adding coverage mapping

            To create new coverage mappings for codes not yet in the system or added additionally you can follow these steps;

            1. Navigate to the Coverages page and select “+New”
            2. In the pop up, define the Carrier, Code, and coverage Name
            3. Select “Save” and you will see it be added to the list below.
              1. All fields are required except Code Type, this will be set based off the descriptions.

            Example
If you have a new code “WATER5” for Aviva and realized this was not included in our list of mappings, you can add the details to ensure this code is mapped properly for Quandri to process on your next run.

            Custom versus Default

Once a new code is added or edited, you will note that the status will adjust to “Custom”. Default is the status when codes are set by Quandri.
