This guide walks you through generating a Book of Business report in Applied Epic showing policies in force (PIF) for submission to Quandri.

Step A – Choose the Right Report

1. In Epic Reports/Marketing, go to Account.
2. Select the titled: Book of Business-Line Book Report

Follow your company best practices for updating master reporting templates. When in doubt copy the report to “My Reports” through the Actions option at the top of the page.

Step B – Set the Criteria

In the report setup, go to Criteria.

1. Change the Department to: ensure the “included selections” radio button at the top is selected and only Personal Lines shows in the selected box at the bottom.
   

   

2. Navigate to Client Type and select the “Insured” radio button.
   

   

3. Navigate to Effective Date
   1. Select the Relative Date Range radio button
   2. From System Date select → - & enter “365” then choose Days from the drop down. Leave the Open box checked for “End of System Date” (This captures policies effective within the last 12 months.)
      

      

4. Navigate to Line Status- Keep only statuses that represent Active In-Force policies
   1. Ensure the “Include selections” radio button is selected
   2. Use arrows to move the desired status codes to the “Selected” box at the bottom.
      

      

5. Navigate to Account Status-Select the “Active” radio button.
   

   

6. Navigate to Prospective or Contracted- Select the “Contracted” radio button.
   

   

7. Leave all other default settings as-is

Step C – Set Delivery Options Excel Format

1. Select “Delivery Options” in the Navigation pane
2. Double click on the <Current User> to open the Edit Recipient window
3. Remove the Check from “Print”
4. Check the “Save to disk”
   1. Save as an Excel format
   2. Enter a File Name
   3. Click Finish
      

      

Step D – Select Layouts to Generate

1. Update which layouts will be generated by
   1. Clicking on layouts in the Navigation Pane
   2. Change all layouts except “Complete Detail” to “No” for Print
   3. Do this by
      1. Highlighting the “Layout Name” and remove the check box beside “Print”
      2. Repeat this for all layouts except “Complete Detail”
         

         

Step E – Generate the Report

1. Generate the report under “ACTIONS” in the Options Bar
   

   

2. Save the generated Excel file—this is the file you’ll provide to Quandri.
